EQ Books for Kids
Helping Children Enhance their Emotional Intelligence
Books are a valuable resource in helping children to develop their EQ skills. Stories provide a great recipe for promoting discussion and developing thoughts on a variety of topics. Annie's Lost HatAnnie's Lost hat authored by Korrel Kanoy and illustrated by Tamica Phillips is an excellent EQ book for children. This is the lovely story of a little girl named Annie who loses her precious hat. Through the story children can learn about persistence, optimism and teamwork, all skills vital in developing EI. This book also includes a thorough section for parents detailing how to use the story and other tips for building the EQ of your child. This EQ book received 5 stars out of 5 from the Foreword Clarion Review. I recommend this book for use at home and in the classroom as a valuable resource. br> Sammy's Next MoveSammy's Next Move is a great book for children moving overseas or currently living abroad. These expat children, known as "third culture kids" have various feelings and emotions to deal with relating to their moves abroad. This book discusses those processes and provides tips and techniques to make the move a successful one. br> Authors and Publishers
